Client :
Persivia
Project Duration :
1 Year

Problem :
Taro Technologies set out to launch Pakistan’s first Shariah-compliant Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) platform. While the business model and UX strategy were defined by stakeholders, the digital touchpoints — particularly the website and mobile application — lacked a clear, modern, and trustworthy interface to guide users through the BNPL onboarding journey.
The challenge was to design:
A website that clearly communicates the program’s benefits and steps to join.
A mobile application that simplifies the BNPL application process for both merchants and customers, ensuring a smooth entry point into Taro’s financial ecosystem.

Solution :
I designed a modern, minimal, and finance-focused interface that communicates trust, transparency, and innovation.
Key UI solutions included:
Responsive web layout with modular content blocks for quick understanding of BNPL steps.
Mobile app UI with intuitive navigation, easy form inputs, and status indicators to simplify complex financial flows.
Design system with scalable components, clean typography, and a soft yet professional color palette that aligns with Taro’s fintech identity.
Visual hierarchy & microinteractions to improve clarity and reinforce user confidence throughout the application journey.
Deliverables included:
High-fidelity website and app prototypes
Complete design system & UI kit
Visual assets and motion guidelines for development handoff

Challenge :
Complex Financial Journeys: Translating financial jargon and multi-step approval processes into user-friendly visuals required careful structuring and hierarchy.
Trust Building: Fintech users are often skeptical of new platforms. Creating a reliable and secure aesthetic was crucial to reduce hesitation during onboarding.
Mobile Form Design: Simplifying a lengthy BNPL application into a mobile-friendly, step-by-step process while keeping regulatory details intact was a significant UX/UI balancing act.
Outcome:
The new website and app design created a frictionless entry point for Taro’s BNPL services.Application completion rates increased due to the clear flow and simplified UI.
Merchant onboarding time was reduced, thanks to improved content structure and progress indicators.
The visual identity strengthened Taro’s brand credibility, helping position it as a modern, user-centric fintech in the Pakistani market.
The refined UX/UI provided a solid foundation for development, ensuring design consistency across all user touchpoints.
Summary :
This project demonstrates how thoughtful interface design can translate complex financial products into simple, trustworthy user experiences. By creating a seamless bridge between the strategic BNPL flow and the actual user journey, the Taro Technologies platform successfully positioned itself as a pioneer in the local fintech landscape.
